Gianduja (Original Nutella)

Ingredients:

175gm roasted hazelnuts
400gm of 70% dark chocolate
200ml olive oil
* Optional: Coarse sea salt flakes

Method:

  1. Melt dark chocolate over a double boiler
  2. Turn off the heat and slowly add in olive oil and set aside
  3. Process roasted hazelnuts in a food processor (depending on your preference, you can leave the hazelnuts in larger pieces for a crunchier texture)
  4. Fold the crushed hazelnuts through the melted chocolate and add in coarse sea salt flakes as desired
  5. Enjoy as is or as an addition to pancakes, fresh fruit, and yoghurt
